Thank you, Susan! I am inspired by all you're doing at Place & Thyme, and the conversations and connections you are weaving. (All: please check out Susan Wittig Albert's Substack, and if you don't know her mysteries and historical bios of forgotten women, you're in for a treat!)
Thank you, Susan, for your inspiring words bathed in love, peace, hope. It’s terribly difficult right now to feel hopeful but you verbalize it beautifully. You mentioned Heather Cox Richardson; I read Heather every morning with my early morning prewalk coffee as I have done for years. I had the pleasure 2 nights ago of attending the National Writers Series in Traverse City, MI and seeing Heather in person and listening to her 1.5 hour dialogue. I also received her new book, “Democracy Awakening “. This is a book that should be in everyone’s’ hands throughout this country and beyond.
Hi, Lindy, Thank you so much for your words of appreciation and support. How wonderful that you got to hear Heather Cox Richardson in person! I appreciate your recommendation of her Democracy Awakening. It sounds like it's a book every library should have too.
Reading all that is going on in the world, I am grateful every day for the normalcy of my life, lit by the small joys, beauty and unexpected moments of awe given by Mother Earth
I think that learning to be grateful for our ordinary every days is one of the greatest lessons we can learn in life. And be aware--as you are--of the gifts of this living planet. Those gifts are our succor and surcease in these painful times.
Welcome to Substack, Susan. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work!
